Het Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya ligt in Montmeló, op slechts 20 km van Barcelona. Het staat bekend om zijn spannende gevechten, felle rivaliteit en dramatische momenten.
Het circuit is 4,657 km lang en heeft 14 bochten. Het is een combinatie van snelle rechte stukken, scherpe bochten en technische stukken, waardoor er volop inhaalmogelijkheden zijn. Op het 1,047 km lange rechte stuk hebben legendarische gevechten plaatsgevonden, waaronder Rossi's laatste bocht voorbij Lorenzo in 2009 en Gibernau vs Rossi in 2003, waar de overwinning werd beslist in de laatste bocht. Het circuit was ook het strijdtoneel voor de felle rivaliteit tussen Márquez en Rossi in 2016 en het beruchte Quartararo drama in 2021.
