Sector D – Mergulho Grandstand bevindt zich in het begin van het circuit en biedt een duidelijk zicht op de uitgang van bocht 1 en de afdaling naar de Mergulho-bocht. Van hieruit kunnen fans de actie volgen terwijl de coureurs uit de eerste bochten accelereren voordat ze de Mergulho-sectie ingaan.
