The Qatar MotoGP, held at the Lusail International Circuit, has been part of the MotoGP calendar since 2004. In 2008, it became the first-ever MotoGP night race, adding a spectacular floodlit setting to the high-speed action.
The circuit’s flowing layout combines sweeping corners with a long main straight, demanding precision and control from riders. With a physically demanding mix of medium- and high-speed turns, Lusail tests both endurance and bike performance, while the kilometre-long straight ensures solid overtaking opportunities.
