Rules for visitors

Before heading to Portimão for the Portugal MotoGP, it's advisable to check the list of permitted and prohibited items to ensure a hassle-free entry and avoid any issues at security checkpoints.

Permitted items
  • Binoculars are allowed, giving spectators a closer view of the on-track action.
  • Identification (ID) may be required for ticket verification and age-restricted purchases
  • Food & Drinks: Visitors can bring a small amount of food and beverages for personal consumption, such as a sandwich, snack, or bottle. Bottle caps may need to be removed at security. Numerous food and drink stalls are available throughout the circuit.
  • General Admission Equipment: Sun umbrellas and camping chairs are allowed in General Admission areas as long as they do not obstruct other spectators' views.
  • Helmet Storage: Helmets can be brought into the grandstands, but there is no designated storage area. However, Moto Clube de Portimão offers a helmet storage service near the Circuit Shop.
  • Photography & Video: Personal photography and video recording are allowed, but professional equipment is restricted. Cameras with lenses longer than 200mm, tripods, and other professional recording gear are not permitted.
Prohibited items
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the circuit.
  • Animals are not allowed on the premises.
  • Bicycles, scooters, and other personal transport devices must be left outside.
  • Cannons, flares, smoke bombs, and other pyrotechnic devices are strictly prohibited.
  • Drones are not allowed under any circumstances.
  • Glass, metal, or wooden containers cannot be brought into the venue.
  • Sharp objects, including knives and scissors, will not pass security checks.
