Rules for visitors

Before arriving at Sepang International Circuit for the Malaysian MotoGP, it’s advisable to check the list of permitted and restricted items to ensure hassle-free entry and avoid any delays at security checks.

Permitted items
  • Baby Strollers: Allowed for convenience but must not block aisles, pathways, or seating areas.
  • Binoculars: Guests may bring binoculars to get a closer view of the on-track action.
  • Blankets: Permitted, especially for fans in General Admission areas who prefer to sit on grassy hillsides.
  • Personal Cameras: Standard cameras with detachable lenses are permitted, though tripods, monopods, and similar equipment are not allowed.
  • Sunscreen: Non-aerosol sunscreen in plastic containers is allowed for sun protection.
  • Identification (ID): A valid government-issued photo ID may be required for ticket verification, age-restricted purchases, and certain event access points.
Prohibited items
  • Alcohol and outside food/drinks – Bringing alcoholic beverages or outside food and drinks is not allowed, except for one sealed water bottle (up to 600 ml).
  • Dangerous objects – Any item that could be used as a weapon, pose a safety risk, damage property, or disrupt the event is prohibited.
  • Electronic interference devices – Equipment such as drones or other electronics that could interfere with communication or broadcasting is not permitted.
  • Glass items – Glass containers, bottles, and other glass objects are not allowed, except for sunglasses, binoculars, and prescription glasses.
  • Illegal substances – The possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly forbidden, though prescribed medications are permitted.
  • Large flags and banners – Flags or banners over 1 metre in size or with poles longer than 1 metre are not allowed.
  • Personal seating structures – Items like chairs, stools, or benches that can support a person’s weight are not permitted.
  • Vehicles and mobility devices – Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, motorised mobility solutions and similar vehicles are restricted.
