The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is a key stop on the MotoGP calendar, known for its technical layout and passionate Italian fans. Opened in 1972, it hosted MotoGP in the 1980s before returning in 2007 after major upgrades. The track spans 4.226 km with 16 turns and a longest straight of 530 meters. Renamed in 2012 to honour Marco Simoncelli, it has seen unforgettable moments, including Valentino Rossi’s 2008 win.
Misano challenges riders with tight corners and short straights that demand precision and control. Weather conditions can also play a major role, with hot summers affecting grip levels and the occasional rain race adding unpredictability.
The circuit’s electric atmosphere and dedicated fanbase make it a standout event in the MotoGP season. Every year, thousands of fans gather to witness the action, creating an unforgettable experience. Whether in the grandstands or general admission areas, the energy at Misano is second to none.
