The Red Bull Ring, located in Spielberg, Austria, is a premier motorsport venue that plays a key role in the MotoGP calendar, offering thrilling racing in a breathtaking Alpine setting.
First opened in 1969 as the Österreichring, the circuit became known for its high-speed layout and demanding nature. A major redesign in 1996 by Hermann Tilke led to a shorter and more technical version, reopening as the A1-Ring. Following a period of closure, Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz revived the track, bringing it back to life in 2011 under its current name.
Spanning 4.348 kilometres, the circuit blends long straights with sharp braking zones, creating an ideal setting for high-speed battles and overtaking manoeuvres in MotoGP. The steep elevation changes add an extra layer of challenge, while the stunning Styrian mountains provide a spectacular backdrop.
With modern grandstands and dedicated fan zones, the Red Bull Ring delivers an electrifying experience for MotoGP fans. The venue also hosts track days, riding experiences, and corporate events, solidifying its status as a top-tier racing destination.
