Rules for visitors

Before making your way to Phillip Island for the Australian MotoGP, be sure to check the list of permitted and restricted items to ensure smooth entry and avoid any issues at security checkpoints.

Permitted items
  • Binoculars – Visitors are welcome to bring personal binoculars for a better view of the action on track.
  • Identification – A valid ID may be needed for ticket verification or security clearance.
  • Camera lenses under 400 mm (as long as they do not obstruct others' views)
  • Food and beverages (only in small quantities for personal consumption, such as a sandwich, fruit, snack, or a bottle—bottles may need to be brought without caps)
  • Personal photography and video recording (professional equipment, large cameras, and tripods are not allowed)
  • Portable seating (such as camping chairs and sun umbrellas, permitted only in General Admission areas, provided they do not block others' views)
Prohibited items
  • Alcoholic beverages (unless purchased at the event)
  • Animals (except for certified assistance animals)
  • Dangerous weapons or goods (including firearms, flares, fireworks, and laser pointers)
  • Drones or aerial recording devices (including spider cameras)
  • Furniture (such as chairs, lounges, benches, or stools, except for folding chairs or stools)
  • Glass bottles or containers (unless bought at the event)
  • Motorcycle helmets (must be stored in the Public Storage facility near Gate 1 if not in use)
  • Whistles, loud hailers, horns, or bugles (or any device that may disrupt the event)
