The Autódromo Termas de Río Hondo is the premier motorcycle racing venue in Argentina and one of the most exciting circuits on the MotoGP calendar. Located in the Santiago del Estero province, it is renowned for its fast, flowing layout, featuring a mix of long straights and technical corners that challenge both riders and teams.
Originally inaugurated in 2008, the circuit underwent significant renovations before hosting its first MotoGP race in 2014. Its 4.8 km (2.99 miles) layout includes 14 corners, with a mix of high-speed sections and heavy braking zones that create thrilling overtaking opportunities. The wide track and smooth asphalt make it a favourite among riders, often delivering unpredictable races and dramatic finishes.
The circuit is famous for its passionate crowd, with thousands of Argentine fans creating an electric atmosphere throughout the race weekend.
