Rules for visitors

Like all Formula 1 events, the Qatar Grand Prix has regulations that attendees must follow. Here is a general overview of the key rules:

Permitted items
  • Small bags – Bags under 75 cm in all dimensions are permitted for carrying personal items.
  • Small banners and flags – Fans can bring banners or flags within the maximum size limit of 2x1.5 metres to show support for their favorite teams and drivers.
  • Personal medications – A single package with up to seven types of medication is allowed for those who require them.
  • Compact umbrellas – Umbrellas shorter than 40 cm can be brought in case of unexpected weather changes.
  • Valid ID – Spectators should bring a government-issued ID, especially if attending with children.
  • Non-disruptive electronic devices – Phones, cameras, and portable power banks are allowed, as long as they do not interfere with the event.
  • Sun protection items – Sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen are recommended for daytime events.
Prohibited items
  • Bags larger than 75 cm in any dimension – Oversized bags are not allowed for security reasons, so spectators should bring only small bags or backpacks within permitted sizes.
  • Banners exceeding dimensions of 2x1.5 metres – Large banners that may obstruct views or pose safety concerns are not permitted.
  • Fireworks – Any type of fireworks or pyrotechnics is prohibited to ensure the safety of all attendees.
  • Food and drinks (except children's provisions) – Outside food and beverages are not allowed inside the venue, except for essential provisions for young children.
  • Glass containers – Glass bottles, jars, or any breakable containers are not permitted inside the circuit.
  • Laser devices – Laser pointers or similar devices that could interfere with the event or distract drivers and spectators are banned.
  • More than one package of medicines (only a single package with up to 7 types is permitted) – Spectators can carry essential medication, but only within the allowed limits.
  • Umbrellas longer than 40 cm – Large umbrellas that may obstruct views or cause inconvenience to other spectators are not allowed.
