The Autodromo Nazionale Monza is one of the most iconic and historic circuits in motorsport. Situated in the Royal Park of Monza, just north of Milan, it has been a staple of Formula 1 since the championship began in 1950 and has hosted more Grands Prix than any other circuit. Known as the "Temple of Speed," Monza is revered for its high-speed straights and technical chicanes, which challenge both drivers and engineers. The track spans 5.793 km and includes legendary sections like the Lesmo corners and the Parabolica, now renamed Cura Alborveto.
Monza is the fastest circuit on the F1 calendar, with cars often reaching speeds of over 360 km/h. Its unique layout delivers thrilling overtakes and dramatic finishes, making it a favorite among drivers and fans alike. Opened in 1922, it is one of the oldest purpose-built race tracks in the world, with remnants of its original banking still visible, showcasing its rich heritage.
The circuit is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, amplified by the passionate Tifosi who create an electrifying environment, especially when Ferrari performs well. The grandstands and natural surroundings offer excellent views of the action, while the lush park setting adds a unique charm. Beyond Formula 1, Monza hosts various motorsport events and remains a venue steeped in history, speed, and excitement.
