Rules for visitors

As with all Formula 1 events, including the Mexico City Grand Prix, attendees must follow the rules and guidelines set by the event organizers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. These regulations cover areas such as security procedures, permitted and prohibited items, and conduct within the venue. 

Permitted items
  • Baby essentials: Baby food and small strollers such as pushchairs are allowed for families attending with young children.
  • Bags and backpacks: Small luggage, backpacks with pockets, and panniers are permitted but must comply with size restrictions.
  • Cameras and accessories: Non-professional cameras with lenses up to 300mm, GoPro cameras, and external phone batteries are allowed for personal use.
  • Clothing and accessories: Hats, sunglasses, jackets, rain boots, and raincoats are recommended to prepare for varying weather conditions.
  • Event items: Small flags and posters on PVC poles are allowed to cheer on favourite teams and drivers.
  • Personal items: Sunscreen, binoculars, lighters, and cigars are permitted for personal use throughout the event.
Prohibited items
  • Alcohol and outside food: Bringing in any external food or beverages, including alcohol, is not allowed.
  • Chairs and large items: Items such as foldable chairs, trolleys, and camping equipment are prohibited to avoid obstructing pathways and seating areas.
  • Drones and recording devices: The use of drones, tripods, and video recording equipment is strictly forbidden for safety and privacy reasons.
  • Firearms and sharp objects: Weapons, including firearms, knives, or any sharp objects, are not allowed inside the venue.
  • Glass and cans: To prevent injuries and environmental concerns, glass bottles and cans are restricted.
  • Large bags: Bulky items such as camping backpacks and coolers are not permitted, and all bags are subject to inspection.
  • Pets: Only guide and assistance animals are allowed; other pets are not permitted within the circuit.
  • Unauthorized substances: Any illegal substances or items deemed hazardous by security staff are strictly prohibited.
