About the circuit

The Hungaroring, located in Mogyoród, just 20 kilometres from Budapest, has been hosting the Hungarian Grand Prix since 1986. As the first Eastern European track to welcome Formula 1, it presents a unique challenge with its tight, twisty layout and limited overtaking opportunities. Spanning 4.381 km (2.722 miles) with 14 corners, the track is often called a “Monaco without the barriers.”

The circuit's demanding nature and high summer temperatures, test both car performance and driver endurance. Precision and tyre management are crucial, making strategy a key factor in race outcomes.

Besides Formula 1, the Hungaroring has welcomed various motorsport events, including FIA WTCC and MotoGP in the past. Regular upgrades ensure it meets modern standards while preserving its classic appeal.

With its proximity to Budapest, the race attracts large international crowds, offering fans the perfect blend of motorsport excitement and cultural exploration.
